Bio

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I once saw a guy play an instrument he made out of his bedroom door. His wife was pissed. I started playing music at age 9, which means that in 2014 my guitar playing was old enough to buy me a beer. I collected.

I started playing percussion at age 12, eventually specializing in Marching Band/Drum Corps.

I studied Jazz Composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in 2005.

In 2008 I began work as a showband guitarist with Cunard Line. Over the next three years I traveled to 33 countries and performed nearly every night.

Since 2010 I have lived and worked as a guitarist, composer, arranger, copyist (yes, we still exist) and teacher in Los Angeles.

I perform regularly with Sheléa, LIBERATI and Casual Encounters Live Band Karaoke.

I am the director of percussion at John Burroughs High School and Burbank High School in Burbank, CA.

In May 2019 I earned a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

I’m also an astronaut. You know, on the side.
